Windows 8 and Server 2012. As of August 15, Microsoft will make Windows 8 and Server 2012 RTM available to a privileged few, namely developers, OEM partners and some IT professionals. Its name “Release to Manufacturing”, this final draft version will introduce some new technical, especially in the ranks of Windows Store, which will integrate its first paid applications and will extend to 200 countries with 38 languages supported.
It is not excluded that on this occasion, the 2013 Office suite which is now in beta as for now, is revealed in the final version.
First served dated August 15, developers and IT professionals, can get the ISO of Windows 8 and Server 2012 via their MSDN account. The Visual Studio 2012 will be issued in parallel and available from the Dev Center.
At this same date, IT partners and businesses who have joined the program of technical support Software Assurance (volume licensing contracts) will be eligible for download of Windows 8 and Server 2012 on TechNet their space.
Then, after the August 20th , all professionals who subscribed for the Action Pack, ( subscription that allows to exploit, for internal use for testing and developing software).
This roll out will end on September 1st with the volume license holders not covered by Software Assurance. The latter will provide resellers of Microsoft partners.
Then, in October 26 and the release of Windows 8 in 109 languages, for an update which will cost between 30 and 40 euros depending on the versions.
Windows 8 and Server 2012 has been already downloaded by many users. In fact, as for now, 16 million PCs (Source: Microsoft) are already equipped versions and Consumer Release Preview, the availability for download of, I reported in my earlier article here.

– August 16th: Customers with Software Assurance for Windows through the Volume License Service Center (VLSC).
– August 16th: Microsoft Partner Network members.
– August 20th: Microsoft Action Pack Providers (MAPS).
– September 1st: Volume License customers (without Software Assurance) through Microsoft Volume License Resellers.
– October 26th: Everyone!
