Dropbox – storage in the Cloud.
Everyone talks cloud computing theese days, but not every one knows what's all about. It's not comething very complicated that you would never understood. Sometimes a little example of easy stuff can open your mind and understand concepts. One of them is Dropbox for example.
I like Dropbox, since it's very handy, when it comes to access your files from multiple PC's, Servers and VMs. In fact you install the Dropbox client on any computer you like and you gain access to your online storage. The basic plan is 2 Gigs of Data. So at least for the most critical personal (work) files you don't have to worry about backups.
Besides that, which I discovered today (I did not look close enough when I created my dropbox account), is that you also have an access to previous versions of your files. You can restore the older version of your file which you modified days, weeks ago… All this with a click of a button. That's too is a power of cloud…
The same way like in Windows Servers you can activate this feature called Volume Shadow Copy, which you need to activate per storage volume. If a user needs to revert to a previous version of a file then a shadow copy backup will allow them to restore a previous version.

There is at the moment a real problem whit shares where you consume your own storage by accessing shares from other DropBox users…. If I acces a share which is 1GB in size, my own disk space usage will diminish with 1GB :((
