New updated release of vSphere 5.5 Hardening Guide – to match the latest VMware vSphere 5.5 – is out. This guide as in its previous releases gives you some good tips to secure your vSphere environments. As I reported already in the past on this guide – here is the vSphere 5.1 article, the format is an XLSX format, so you can add your own remarks, informations concerning your own infrastructure, to keep all in one place.

Note that there are two files at the communities website there. One is the Hardening Guide an the other is change log xlsx file, which is not as uninteresting as you might think as it shows the differences between the 5.1 and 5.5 versions. On the image below you can see the change concerning SSO db, which now in the 5.5 has been removed.
