A week or two back when the vExperts awards 2010 has been announced, Arnim Van Lieshout took an initiative and created a vExpert Directory. I was quite supprised that Arnim started such an initiative, since I can barely imagine the HUGE amount of work to have a list of vExperts as much as close to the reality. Bravo Arnim! 😎
I remember that last year there has been 300 people awarded, not sure how many this year, but I guess the same or even more… Yes, 330. As I'm French Blogger and four of my French vExperts fellow bloggers made it into the list, I think that I'm the only one that I'm actually blogging in English… It's my personal choice, since I feel quite comfortable in my English writing (but I'm still improving, here and there). 🙂
I hope that this award will makes us to know more each other and that we'll share some great informations for the readers of our blogs and websites.
My geographical position is more/less slightly disadvantageous for me, since as you can see from the picture above, I'm French Blogger, living in France, but not in France Continental… but a 10 000 Km from Paris…. At the Reunion Island – French overseas department with eight hundred thousand people living here.
At the moment, we are much closer than anyone else in Europe and US to the World Cup in South Africa. In fact Reunion Island is only about 4h flight to Johannesburg, for example. In South Africa, where also I took my VMware Class and my VCP 4 exam. It's not unusual to see some Europeans or English going down there to sit a VMware class and pass an exam, since it's about 3 times cheaper then everywhere else. And also you can take your family with you while flying to South Africa and have a Holiday at the same time.
