This year's vExperts 2014 were announced! Check it out. I've been honored again as a vExpert this year. Great thanks to VMware and vExpert team behind the program.
It's Correy Romero who announced the news on the VMTN blog. This year over 700 vExperts (exactly 754 vExperts this year) were named. Here is the full list of lucky people for 2014 – vExperts 2014.
Quote from the announce:
I want to personally thank everyone who applied and point out that a “vExpert” is not a technical certification or even a general measure of VMware expertise. The judges selected people who were particularly engaged with their community and who had developed a substantial personal platform of influence in those communities. There were a lot of very smart, very accomplished people, even VCDXs, that weren’t named as vExpert this year.
VMware has also new policy on how to actually get this honor. Now it's quaterly based application. And the Q2 applications are already open at https://bit.ly/LMJqB5.
You can apply if you contributed by any of those ways:
- Evangelist Path: This path includes bloggers, authors, speakers, etc. who demonstrate passion and knowledge in the public forums.
- Customer Path: This path is for people within organizations who helped VMware get more recognition within a company. This also includes persons who worked with VMware on customer success stories.
- Partner Path: This path is for employees of VMware partners who are active with certifications and are committed to imparting their technical knowledge to their customers. This can take many forms and requires a VMware employee reference.
vExpert program allows greater recognition between your coworkers, clients and in the overall professional life.
