There is a nice free poster for Veeam Backup and Replication v8, which you can download and which shows certain architectural points, like deployment methods but also requirements (where to install what) etc.
The poster also shows different deployments methods and features details from Veeam v8. The free PDF poster is available at cloud-land.com maintained by Andre Carpenter, who is an IT technologist from New Zealand but work at Veeam software.

Veeam v8 which has been released few weeks back has brought some very intesting features, which one of them I already covered – 1 click failover plans.
It's possible to replicate directlyfrom backup. This is another feature which will reduce the pressure on production storage as now it’s possible to setup replication job by specifying a backup file. (not a running VM).
Also Veeam Backup and Replication v8 free edition which has also some goodies inside. One of them is Free Veeam Explorer For Active Directory. This tool can not only restore deleted AD objects, but can also track which objects are different (comparing the production with the backup). Which objects has changed values between the latest backup and live production environment.
