Trying to optimize WordPress Database? WP CleanFix – a Free tool that might be handy… If you're like me and run a blogging software on your website, you might read on and have a look at an excellent tool I discovered few weeks ago. This tool is a free plug-in and which optimizes WordPress MySQL database, can delete unwanted (obsolete) auto-save drafts etc… The tool is free because the creator of this tool does provide a paid tools as well and uses the free tool as a way to promote those.
The plugin's name is WP-Cleanfix. You can get it at the WordPress.org website, in the enormous plugin collection there or directly from plugin's page here and upload it via FTP to your online space.
Behind the website – saidmade.com – there is several (9 in total) young developpers, community managers or project leaders, which provide several self made tools like this one.
A quick quote from the plugin's webpage:
“WP CleanFix is a plug-in designed for the optimization, the maintenance and the checking of WordPress. This tool gathers several functions contained in single plug-ins and it operates only on the back-end side for the website management. Its utility is double: on the one hand it provides specific functions to maintain and optimize WordPress, on the other hand it enables to check all the settings trough a clear dashboard.”
As you can see the options, the utilization of this tool is very simple. No need to be a MySQL guru.
You can gain some good amount of free space by shrinking the MySQL database size, and also you can delete some attachments without post too. This tool remains free as the company provides paid services and paid tools as well. I really like this approach. Clean and easy. I hope that you apreciate too. Feel free to subscribe to our RSS feed.
