There is a huge collection of free E-books available at MSDN blog and I thought that there is quite of few you might be interested. The collection is just huge and there are some relatively older books too talking about Windows 7, but this does not change the fact that those are free. Who does not like free offers? Right?
The choice is very large and goes through many Microsoft's products, technologies and programming languages. You can download One-by-one or Download all (as zip). I'd go probably with the individual items, but will bookmark that post for later usage.
Most of the books are in PDF, but there is quite a lot of them which are in EPUB or MOBI for tablets. Some books are also in DOC. There is a ton of books about CRM so if you're into this you'll probably find your jewel. The books are sorted by categories which gives you the option to find your category of interest and get the books you want.
Books that I like which I found interesting:
- Windows 8.1 Update Power User Guide for Business
- Windows 8.1 Product Guide
- Outlook 2013 Keyboard Shortcuts
- Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Step By Step for Anyone
- Install Microsoft Exchange server 2013 step by step with DAG (yeah, I' m still a fan of Exchange…)
- Migrate Roles and Features to Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2012 (perhaps something new to learn)
- Backup and Restore of SQL Server Databases
- Understanding Microsoft Virtualization R2 Solutions ( perhaps something new to learn?)
There are not only e-books for products, but also as you can see, some posters. Here example with PowerShell quick reference, examples. There are also some e-books for keyboard shortcuts (W7 and W8).
The collection of Microsoft's Free E-books can be reached here, but as I said, some of them are pretty old (published in 2005) so before hitting the download all I'd suggest to have a look through as you certainly won't need to have them all sitting on your hard drive anyway… -:)
Surprisingly there is not a book about Windows Server 2012 R2 version, but while here I'd like to point to another post where you can get one. It's called Introducing Windows Server 2012 R2 and you can get it from this MSDN post.
