An important update to Veeam Data protection platform has been released. The good practice is to patch not only your datacenter virtualization products, in-guest OS, but also data protection and monitoring platforms. This is no different when it comes to the latest Veeam Backup and Replication v12 which has a new cumulative update that has been released and you can download.
The latest version of the Veeam Data Platform can be downloaded from here (trial). It's the version number 12.0.0.1420 P20230718
Remember, Each subsequent Cumulative Patch also includes all fixes present in the previous Cumulative Patches. So no need to download the previous cumulative patches.
Enhancements
- Added the ability to select a backup proxy for snapshot-only jobs, as they still leverage proxies to read VM configuration files.
- Added support for the new Google Cloud regions (Doha and Turin).
Use cumulative patch if you are running at least Veeam Backup & Replication 12 GA (build 12.0.0.1420). After updating, the build number will be 12.0.0.1420 P20230718.
Veeam continues to enhance and improve their flagship products which now it's not only Veeam Backup and Replication, but also VeeamONE and other backup products for public cloud workloads.
