Soluto is a no brainer optimizer of windows startup.
I came across this I'd say revolutionary startup optimizer from Soluto recently. You don't have to be an IT pro to be able to use it and most importantly, you can't really damage your system. This little application is very clever, since it analyses the startup of your PC at the boot time and shows you the delay of every program which starts when Windows boots up.
The program calculates the time your system takes to boot up completely, and shows you a colorful, animated report divided into three main areas:
– required components that can’t be removed (in gray),
– potentially removable components (in orange) and
– programs you can easily get rid of (in green).
It also uses a database of programs and shows you what other users did with this or that application. When you put your mouse on the green bar the application's time to start shows up and you have several choices there:
– To delay the startup of the application.
– To exclude the startup of the application.
You can't make changes on an application which is not know or which is not in that database.
You can download that application from here. It analyses if DotNet is installed and then downloads the latest version from within the application installer. You'll have to reboot your PC to do your first analyze.
All this is done in nice and clean user interface. They call it Anti-frustration Software and I really like that.
Then you can see how many times saved by removing or delaying your startup applications. It's one of the applications I will definitely keep since with the time Windows became slow at startup so with that I can quickly gain in productivity.
