I have been honored to be invited to Virtualization Field Day 5 in Boston (#VFD5). The event is organized by Steven Fosket and Tech Field Day crew. A big names are on the list as other delegates, bloggers, geeks, storage or automation specialists….
I have already participated on a Tech Field Day Extra during my Stay in Barcelona last year. I think that you could not miss the Diablo's technology – SSD Storage Closer to CPU – That’s Memory Channel Storage by Diablo Technologies for Next Gen VSAN.
As being said, I won't be alone. Many other well known bloggers and IT guys are present. The event will be brodcasted live from the VFD5 page (for those of you with good bandwidth) or you can watch (download) the videos later from Steven Fosket's YouTube channel.
The event like this is quite unique in AFAIK and the 2H presentations per sponsor allows enough time to get the deep technical info plus ask questions. Ravello for example doing some good stuff for nested ESXi environments, PernixData and their FVP or Infinio Accelerator, are already well know to ESX Virtualization Readers. To be able to see those guys live “on stage” adds another dimension ….

Many cool vendors on the list…
Getting excited to see interesting startups, compagnies which I've heard a lot of good, and others quite known already. Certainly good times ahead. This is the first time I'll travel to attend VFD event in the US. Looking forward for the event!
Disclaimer: As a Virtualization Field Day 5 delegate all of my flight, travel, accommodations, eats, and drinks are paid for. However I do not receive any compensation nor am I required to write anything in regards to the event or the sponsors. This is done at my own discretion.

Vladan,
Welcome to USA.
Do post more stuff on what you saw as I’m immersed in this NSX production deployment on my end and missing all the good stuff 🙂
Cheers!
