Last night I was watching (or trying to) the TOP vBlog 2014 voting live with @ericsiebert @jtroyer @RickVanover and @davidmdavis. Awesome event, great competition and excellent motivation for the future.
This year there was 320 blogs participating. The list is just huge….-:) There was over 1400 votes this year compared to around 1300 last year. The number of blogs this year just exploded.
Contgratz to all bloggers and winners. Big thanks for Eric Siebert (and Veeam sponsoring the event), for organizing this. Watch on YouTube here! See the results in this post at vSphere-land.com here.

Awesome event, this year's competition was very tough as many great bloggers with great content made it higher than last year. I was very impressed by Derek Seaman and of course Chris Wahl who is blogging genius. Other bloggers like Duncan, William or Frank are also having some killer and great content, but over the years, it's kind of expected from them. Big congratz to everyone!
This year, ESX Virtualization (my website) got 1 position up which gave me nice number 15 spot. -:) Thanks everyone voting for this blog !
If someone asks me how do I do to blog? I just do blog, every day, all year long. It's about consistency, longevity and most of all – professionalism.
The technique of blogging is not all but you need to know it. What to get, which domain, which hoster, which software, which plugins, ……. Check out some WordPress tips here if you want to start with a blogging.
But you have to have something else too and it's principal – a passion about what you blog about! You also have to be enough technical. I stay enough technical, sometimes not too much, as I believe that I do content for a wide audience, not only for VCPs, VCAPs or VCDX es… -:) People starting with virtualization (every day there is some) which just seek solution or how-to, they look for information.
