Few days back I reported about new labs that has been added to Free VMware Labs at Hands On Line after VMworld San Francisco. And today VMware has added even more labs to the list, which starts to be quite impressive. One of the new labs added is Thinapp lab called HOL-MBL-1311 – Applied ThinApp with the Horizon Suite. You will learn what's new in ThinApp. How-to build ThinApp packages, and integrate ThinApp with Horizon Mirage, Horizon Workspace and Horizon View. You'll use VMware View, ThinApp, Horizon Workspace and Horizon Mirage.
There is another lab HOL-MBL-1304 – Horizon Workspace – Explore and Deploy, which will introduce you into the full Horizon Workspace Suite. The suite, which I covered in details and reported on What's new in Horizon Workspace v.1.5. VMware Horizon Workspace suite delivers applications and data to any device in secure manner. You'll get hands-on experience with data sharing, SAML integration and other useful features. In this lab you'll work with vSphere, ThinApp, Horizon Workspace and vCenter Server.
but there is also the new labs covering the upcoming NSX virtualization platform.VMware NSX is the platform for Network Virtualization. You will gain hands-on experience with Dynamic Routing, Distributed Firewall and Load Balancing. lab
Two VMware NSX labs:
HOL-SDC-1303 – VMware NSX Network Virtualization Platform which is an introduction to NSX and You will gain hands-on experience with Dynamic Routing, Distributed Firewall and Load Balancing. You'll use vSphere and NSX environments.
and HOL-SDC-1319 – Tech Preview: VMware NSX for Multi-Hypervisor Environments which is an advanced one. This lab shows that NSX is platform for Network Virtualization across multiple hypervisor platforms. You will gain hands-on experience with NSX at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. In this lab you'll use vSphere, vCloud Automation Center (vCAC), vCenter Orchestrator (vCAC), NSX and KVM.
