Just a quick update about this year's VMware EXPLORE 2022 which is an in-person event this year. (Online too, so Hybrid event). VMware just unveiled a Content Catalog VMware EXPLORE 2022. Let's see and have a look and check out what you can expect. It seems that there are also some Tutorial sessions in the Content Catalog VMware EXPLORE 2022 this year.
VMware EXPLORE 2022 Content catalog has 608 sessions and a powerful and cool filter through which you can seek your sessions or type of sessions. We'll have a look at the possibilities of looking for some sessions.
Schedule builder is now open. Check schedule builder and create your schedule. Stay organized to maximize the benefits.
If you're looking for a product or type of session, you won't use the same function. You'll want to do a search for a particular product (example “vCenter”) or you'll want to tick filters for example for VMware tanzu (there are tons of sessions about Tanzu).
Using Filters vs Using Search
Using Filters
Click on the filter name or the down-arrow (˅) to view the selection options for each filter. Then, check the box next to your desired filter option. Feel free to apply more than one filter.
Example for “Tanzu” on the right. I checked all the different Tanzu products, and as a result, I have 127 Sessions on my screen….
So using the checkboxes to activate the filters you need is pretty effective.
But sometimes it might be better and use search capabilities.
Using Search
To look for a specific term in the content catalog, type it into the “Search” bar then hit enter or click the search icon (magnifying glass). Search results will reflect sessions that use the search term in the session title, session code, session abstract, speaker name, or speaker company name.
We'll see that using search for “tutorial” type of session gives us 15 sessions (image below) so we have 15 sessions dedicated for step-by-step tutorials! That's cool IMHO. I love tutorials to learn new stuff.
Types of Sessions
Long time there are not only breakout sessions, general sessions or Meet the expert. There are many others and it's worth the time to have a look at how are they organized because you can use those keywords within your search.
In my example, I searched only for “Tutorial” and got 15 Sessions of tutorials!!! I don't remember we had this option in the past….
