Here are some news about our favorite desktop virtualization software – VMware Workstation and VMware Fusion. During VMworld 2019 US the Workstation and Fusion teams have announced what's on the next scheduled released of the software.
The Workstation 15.5 and Fusion 11.5 shall be out in September 2019 and they both bring many new features and enhancements. Additionally, good news for existing Workstation and Fusion customers is the fact that it will be a free upgrade.
Update: The product is now available for download – read our post.
VMware Workstation will also be able to be installed on a system with Hyper-V role, which wasn't previously possible. You could either add Hyper-V role and not use VMware Workstation, or delete this role and Install and use VMware Workstation. This is very good news for developers and desktop virtualization enthusiasts testing both platforms.
