New free training course from VMware, which is available online. Note that an account at VMware Learning required at VMware Education, but you can register for free there. You'll be able to learn about VMware Security Suite which is available as a part of the vSphere Essentislas Plus package as a VMware vCloud Networking and Security 5.1.2.
The course is called VMware Security Solution Fundamentals and discusses the VMware security strategy.
Each product in the VMware Security Solution is introduced by discussing the limitations of traditional security controls and describing how the products in the solution address these limitations. The course concludes with a list of relevant security and compliance online resources.
The UI is Adobe flash driven, where you can pause, resume or stop the course during your learning. The sound quality is excellent. You'll learn all the components of the vShield Suite:
- vShield Manager
- vShield Edge
- vShield Data Security – a hypervisor based tool.
