VMworld 2012 San Francisco and VMworld Europe Barcelona news. VMworld 2012 this year will be held at San Francisco, Moscone Center. And in Europe it will be Barcelona. As a guy from Europe, I'm planning to attend the VMworld Europe in Barcelona only. And I see that I will miss the band – Jon Bon Jovi and The Kings of Suburbia ….. -:(. It's been announced recently on the VMware community blog. The VMworld Party is Wednesday, August 29.
The VMworld US is held as previous years in Moscone center while the European event is held at the Fira Barcelona. I hope that our Spanish friends bloggers will blog on their blogs (or comment here) about some good places to stay or to visit in Barcelona! Already Andrea Mauro (IT) provided some more details about the Spanish Event on his blog post here.
VMworld US attendees can also get some great early bird discounts on hotels close to Moscone Center. Check out this page on possible discounts. Get an iPad if you refer 10 friends or coworkers.
Why attend VMworld?
What a question. It's the biggest VMware conference where you can touch new, upcoming products and releases. Talk with the product developpers and engineers directly. Attend sessions where you'll learn the inside out of different technologies. Do a VMworld labs, which will be better than last year. VMware has more than 190,000 customers, and thousands of them will join you in San Francisco to share their experiences with virtualization and cloud computing.
If you're blogger, than there is a good chance that you'll meet some of the Top virtualization bloggers in the bloggers lounge. Don't hesitate to come by and say hi.
The solution Exchange – Visiting the Solutions Exchange gives you a very large view on the virtualization and cloud industry. My latest VMworld, I reported on the Solution Exchange as a place to be, and I met the Monster VM there… -:).
San Francisco, Moscone Center, August 26-30
Barcelona, Gran Via Barcelona – North Entrance, October 9-11
Well, those of you who will get the chance to go to the US conference, hopefully will post some cool photos and videos from the event.
