Why would you vote for ESX Virtualization? As every year, there is time to vote for your favorite virtualization blog. This competition organized by Eric Siebert every year. Last time when this competition has been organized, ESX Virtualization was in the TOP 25 blogs, but this time I wish (I hope) even better result.
Eric Siebert announcen in his post here, that there are now over 180 blogs dedicated to VMware and Virtualization. This is quite impressive, but I'm not surprised. There are many blogs out there created and dies just few weeks or few months after…., not many blogs survives, because the time and energy lucks to maintain a blog on a daily basis, especially when you work for a patner, VMware or EMC… -:) . You can see, it's not only the writing, but also the graphics, then the content organization, research, etc.. There is not many blogs out there which are Independent, daily updated…. For me, I think the most difficult to do are videos. The video blogging category should get the most appreciated….
But I do have a plenty of ideas for the 2012 when it comes to blog content, blog organization or a blog evolution.. -:). For example, right now to search of older content is difficult and to see all individual articles you must click the Sitemap link at the very top of the blog. This is something that needs to be changed.
Also I do have some ideas on multi-author blog, which might be an excellent way for occasional bloggers (with some incentive, some reward of course….. It can be done per-author base where each author will be able to make some money, depending on how many time his(her) article is being read. And how many times visitors clicked on an Adsense banner Ad present in his(her) article. It's done by a special multi author Adsense Plug-in….. But as for now it's just one of many ideas I do have in my pocket.
You could see that last year I attended VMworld Copenhagen 2011, which was my second VMworld as a blogger and reporter. You could read my serie of the VMworld Copenhagen's post here. As a French blogger, some people tells me, why I don't blog in French as well? The reply is simple. I don't see a way of doing a translation of every single blog post into french, every day… -:(. Some bloggers do so, my hat off… – Andrea Mauro at https://vinfrastructure.it
I must thanks to all my sponsors too, because without them the blog would not exists and it's my sponsors and partners which helps me cover the blog costs and supply me with energy and blogging ideas too…. -:).
With the new blogging gear which just arrived few days back, I'm taking new direction too. If you are one of my regular readers, you have probably read about what has changed since last year, that I have moved out of Reunion Island (temporarily), back to France Continental and that I had some trouble with the blog during my move when I have been left without internet access and you without ESX Virtualization. Sad times, but all over now.
Where to Vote for ESX Virtualization?
You can go directly to the survey page, by clicking on the image below, or visit Eric Siebert's blog post to read the guidelines before. The competition this year is organized different way, and I positioned myself as an Independent blogger, since I do not work for a software or hardware partner, and I'm not VMware employee either.
By voting you can also win a copy of the Train Signal’s new vSphere 5 and View 5 video training courses.
With that said, you know now where you can give me some points in this Virtualization and VMware blogging competition… I count on you.

Really thanks for the mention!
PS: great idea for a multi-author blog… a big challenge is not start a blog, but keep it alive… this could be a good solution
