With more than a week delay (sorry about that) I had this photo taken by the Starwind's Booth, which haven't been published. I stopped by at the Starwind's booth at the VMworld Copenhagen 2011 to get some fresh news about Starwind, what is coming etc..
In fact the news has been around since few months, that Starwind does prepare The Starwind Native SAN product for Hyper-V. You could already read about the product on my blog here. The Hyper-V will be here sooner or later anyway, and I can see that many of the partners from the VMware's eco-system has already started with the convergence and multi hypervizor support. VMware is still leading the race, for how long….?
In the Solution Exchange there I was able to talk to different actors and players in the virtualization industry. There is some huge information overload I had the first week I came home. It's only now I'm getting some time to sort out all the business cards and all the publicity papers and eventually go through of some new products announced there.
I got some news from Starwind which I cannot talk yet, but I was able to learn some new features introduced in the Starwind iSCSI SAN. One of them is the deduplication feature, which is an OEM solution that can be used by backup vendors. It reduces backups size and increases performance.
you want to stay updated you can grab my RSS Feed here. In case you don't know how to use RSS, look at my blog page here – What is RSS – where you'll find the explanation.
And here some photo I got from the event.
On the photo with me (middle), Constantin Widenski and Irina Makarova from Starwind Software.
